GOOD EVENING AND WELCOME TO THE MAY WORK SESSION MEETING OF THE RICHARDSON ISD BOARD OF TRUSTEES.

I'M CHRIS POTEET, BOARD PRESIDENT. WE HAVE A QUORUM PRESENT, AND THIS MEETING IS CALLED TO ORDER AT 6:01 P.M..

WE DO NOT HAVE ANY ANYBODY FROM THE PUBLIC THAT SIGNED UP TO SPEAK TODAY.

SO WE'RE GOING TO MOVE TO OUR SECOND AGENDA ITEM, WHICH IS OUR STRATEGIC PLAN YEAR TWO UPDATE PRESENTATION.

[III.A. Strategic Plan Year 2 Update]

MISS BRANUM. THANK YOU, PRESIDENT POTEET. THANK YOU.

BOARD. JUST TO CELEBRATE, WE ARE OFFICIALLY SIX DAYS UNTIL THE END OF THIS SCHOOL YEAR, AND SO AS WE ARE LOOKING AT PUTTING A BEAUTIFUL BOW ON THIS SCHOOL YEAR WITH GRADUATIONS COMING UP, WE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A PRIME OPPORTUNITY JUST TO REMIND THE BOARD OF SOME OF THE STRATEGIC WORK THAT WE PUT FORWARD THIS YEAR.

PRIMARILY, WE PRESENTED THIS AS PART OF OUR DISTRICT IMPROVEMENT PLAN, AND WHAT ARE SOME OF THOSE BIG ITEMS, THOSE BIG TICKET ITEMS THAT WE WERE GOING TO BE FOCUSED ON AS A LEADERSHIP TEAM TO HELP MOVE THE DISTRICT FORWARD WITH OUR NORTH STAR GOAL.

ALL IN AN EFFORT TO MAKE SURE THAT OUR STRATEGIC PLAN AGAIN MOVES FROM JUST WORDS ON A PAGE, AND IT MOVES TO MAKING A DIFFERENCE AND LEADS TO STUDENT OUTCOMES, AND SO I'VE JUST ASKED MELISSA HELLER TO PROVIDE A QUICK OVERVIEW AND JUST A REMINDER OF WHERE WE ARE WITH OUR STRATEGIC PLAN, AND THEN ALSO JUST A REMINDER THAT A LOT OF THE OR AT LEAST MOST OF THE QUANTITATIVE OUTCOMES THAT WE WOULD MEASURE, THE STRATEGIC PLAN WILL BE COMING TO US, YOU KNOW, AS EARLY AS THE END OF THIS MONTH AND THEN THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER AS WE CONTINUE TO AGGREGATE, WHETHER IT'S AP SCORES, SATS, TSI, ALL OF THOSE MEASURES THAT COME TO US ALL THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER.

SO WITH THAT, I'LL TURN IT OVER TO MELISSA. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

SUPERINTENDENT BRANUM, A BOARD OF TRUSTEES EXCITED TO BE ABLE TO TAKE SOME TIME THIS EVENING TO TALK ABOUT OUR STRATEGIC PLAN.

WE ARE WRAPPING UP YEAR TWO OF WHAT IS CURRENTLY A FIVE YEAR PLAN, AND THERE IS A LOT OF WORK THAT HAS HAPPENED AND, AND THAT IS WORTHY OF BEING CELEBRATED. SO JUST APPRECIATE THE OPPORTUNITY TO UPDATE US BRIEFLY THIS EVENING.

IT'S IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER THAT THIS WORK IS GROUNDED.

I REFER TO THEM AS SOME SPECIFIC ANCHORS IN TERMS OF WHAT ARE OUR TRUE NORTH'S AS WE ARE DEVELOPING OUR ANNUAL CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT PLANS? THOSE THAT DIRECTION IS SET. IT BEGINS WITH OUR NORTH STAR GOAL THAT YOU AS A BOARD DEVELOPED, AND ALL OF OUR OTHER IMPROVEMENT EFFORTS FALL UNDERNEATH THAT NORTH STAR GOAL.

WE HAVE IT. IT'S NOT JUST WORDS ON VISUALS IN ALL OF OUR MEETING ROOMS, BUT THIS NORTH STAR GOAL IS REALLY BECOMING EMBEDDED IN OUR CULTURE, AND THAT IS SOME OF THE EXCITING EXAMPLES AND EXEMPLARS THAT WE WANT TO SHARE WITH YOU THIS EVENING.

THE STRATEGIC PLAN GROUP AND THE DISTRICT PLANNING COMMITTEE A COUPLE YEARS AGO TOOK YOUR NORTH STAR GOAL THEN AND DEVELOPED BELIEFS THAT ALSO WERE FOUNDATIONAL TO THE PLAN AS WELL AS WHAT WE BELIEVE IN TERMS OF OUR CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT AND, AND WHY WE'RE HERE AND OF COURSE, THAT IS ALL AROUND ENSURING ACADEMIC SUCCESS FOR ALL OUR ISD STUDENTS.

THAT OTHER BIG ANCHOR THAT WAS DEVELOPED AS PART OF THE STRATEGIC PLAN AND THE TEACHING AND LEARNING GROUP, AS WELL AS OUR PROFESSIONAL LEARNING TEAM HAVE SPENT A LOT OF OUR EARLY YEARS IN THIS STRATEGIC PLAN.

DOING IS MAKING SURE THAT LEARNER GROWTH EXPERIENCE FRAMEWORK BECOMES A REALITY FOR OUR STUDENTS AND THE LEARNING EXPERIENCES THAT ARE DESIGNED AND IMPLEMENTED IN OUR CLASSROOMS, AND YOU CAN SEE THOSE FIVE COMPONENTS IGNITE, DISCOVER, COLLABORATE, APPLY AND REFLECT, AND THOSE ALL ARE COME TOGETHER TO CREATE EMPOWERED LEARNERS.

THROUGH THE DESIGN OF QUALITY LEARNING EXPERIENCES FOR ALL STUDENTS.

SO JUST A QUICK REMINDER ON OUR TIMELINE I MENTIONED THAT WE ARE CURRENTLY WRAPPING UP YEAR TWO OF A FIVE YEAR PLAN.

I WANT TO TAKE YOU BACK, THOUGH, TO THE SPRING OF JUNE 2022, AND THIS WORK KICKED OFF WITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF OUR GRADUATE PROFILE.

THAT WAS A COMMUNITY DRIVEN EFFORT. WE HAD OVER, I BELIEVE IT WAS 6000 TOUCHPOINTS BETWEEN SURVEYS WITH PARENTS, STUDENTS, COMMUNITY MEMBERS, PARTNERS. WE HAD IN-PERSON EVENTS.

SOME OF YOU MAY REMEMBER WE HAD THE STUDENT PANELS IN THE PDC AUDITORIUM.

THAT WAS REALLY A COMMUNITY DRIVEN EFFORT TO BUILD SYNERGY AROUND WHAT IS IT THAT WE BELIEVE FOR EVERY ONE OF OUR STUDENTS? AND AGAIN, WE'RE GETTING READY TO CELEBRATE OUR CLASS OF 2025.

WHAT IS IT WE WANT FOR ALL OF THOSE GRADUATES? THAT GRADUATE PROFILE IS THEN ANOTHER REALLY IMPORTANT ANCHOR THAT WAS USED IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE STRATEGIC PLAN, WHICH THEN ONCE YOU ALL ADOPTED THE GRADUATE PROFILE, WE BEGAN OUR WORK IN THE FALL OF 2022.

SO IT WAS DURING THAT 22-23 SCHOOL YEAR THAT WE DEVELOPED OUT THE FIVE YEAR STRATEGIC PLAN.

WE HAD DISTRICT DESIGN COMMITTEE, LOTS OF FEEDBACK, SURVEYS, ENGAGEMENT TOUCHPOINTS THROUGHOUT THE PROCESS.

WHERE THEN IT LED US TO THE FINAL ADOPTION OF THE PLAN IN THE SPRING OF 2023, AND THEN WE STARTED OUR FIRST YEAR IMPLEMENTATION LAST SCHOOL YEAR, AND SOME OF YOU MAY RECOGNIZE I PUT A SCREENSHOT UP THERE OF THE ACTUAL DOCUMENT PLAN THAT WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD THERE IN THE SPRING OF 2023.

SO WE HAVE FIVE GOALS. THOSE WERE DEVELOPED AS PART OF THE DESIGN PROCESS.

THOSE FIVE GOALS I KNOW YOU KNOW THEM WELL. WE KNOW THEM WELL, AND THAT IS HOW WE HAVE ORGANIZED OUR PRESENTATION TO SHARE WITH YOU THIS EVENING.

THESE GOALS STAY WITH US EVERY YEAR. THE GOALS DON'T CHANGE.

WE MAY ADJUST SOME OF THE ACTION AND THE ANTICIPATED RESULTS BASED ON THINGS THAT ARE HAPPENING, WHETHER THAT'S A LEGISLATIVE SESSION, WHETHER THAT'S BUDGETING CONCERNS, WHETHER THAT'S ENROLLMENT OR RECRUITMENT EFFORTS BUT THE GOALS STAY THE SAME, AND THOSE ARE AROUND INDIVIDUAL GROWTH. AGAIN, ALIGNING THAT BACK TO THAT NORTH STAR GOAL, OUR STAFF RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION. THIS WAS A GOAL THAT WE HAD IN OUR PREVIOUS STRATEGIC PLAN.

I THINK IT'S HEIGHTENED NOW JUST BECAUSE OF THE COMPETITION FOR EDUCATOR TALENT, NOT ONLY IN NORTH TEXAS AND TEXAS, BUT ACROSS THE COUNTRY. CURRICULUM AND LEARNING.

AGAIN, STAYING GROUNDED IN OUR WHY AND THE IMPORTANCE OF ACADEMIC LEARNING AND GROWTH FOR ALL STUDENTS.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT. I STILL LEAN INTO I THINK THAT WAS ONE OF I KNOW MY PERSONALLY AND JUST FOR JUST FOR OUR TEAM AND OUR ORGANIZATION, ONE OF THE BIG LEARNINGS FROM COMING OUT OF THE PANDEMIC WAS OUR COMMUNITY REALLY WANTS TO ENGAGE AND REENGAGE WITH US, AND HOW CAN WE CREATE MEANINGFUL ENGAGEMENT OPPORTUNITIES THAT ARE ALSO TWO WAY SO HOW ARE WE WORKING WITH PARTNERS TO IDENTIFY TWO WAY OPPORTUNITIES TO REALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND TO SUPPORT OUR STUDENTS AND STAFF, AND THEN FINALLY, OF COURSE, FINANCIAL STEWARDSHIP TOP OF MIND RIGHT NOW.

I KNOW WITH OUR CURRENT LEGISLATIVE SESSION AND BILLS AND HOUSE BILLS THAT MAY BE FILED OR NOT FILING, BUT HOW ARE WE BEING MOST EFFICIENT AND EFFECTIVE, AND BEING THE BEST FINANCIAL STEWARDS OF THE RESOURCES THAT WE HAVE AND HOW THOSE ARE TOUCHING OUR OPERATIONS, OUR PERSONNEL, ETC..

SO THOSE FIVE GOALS STAY THE SAME. THEY DRIVE OUR CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT EFFORTS EVERY YEAR, AND WE DEVELOP OUR DIP, OUR DISTRICT IMPROVEMENT PLAN, AS WELL AS OUR CAMPUS IMPROVEMENT PLANS FROM THOSE FIVE GOALS.

SO TO JUST SHARE SOME HIGHLIGHTS WE'VE BROKEN THEM UP FOR THIS YEAR, FOR YEAR TWO BY EACH GOAL.

SO IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE STRATEGIC PLAN, WE DID IDENTIFY ACTION ITEMS THAT WERE ALIGNED WITH EACH GOAL FOR EACH YEAR OF THE PLAN. SO YOU CAN SEE FOR YEAR TWO, OUR FOCUS GOING INTO THIS YEAR REALLY, IT STARTED AT THE END OF LAST SPRING, OVER THE SUMMER, AND THEN GOING INTO THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR WAS TO TRAIN OUR STAFF, STUDENTS AND FAMILIES ON GOAL SETTING AND WHAT AND WHAT THOSE STRUCTURES LOOK LIKE AS WE ARE ROLLING OUT THAT NORTH STAR GOAL, AND HOW ARE WE MONITORING GROWTH FOR EVERY STUDENT LEADER AND TEACHER? AND THEN HOW ARE WE DEVELOPING AND COMMUNICATING TIMELINES AND METHODS FOR GOAL MONITORING PROGRESS MONITORING, AND THEN HOW WE'RE GROWING THAT THROUGHOUT THE SYSTEM.

WITH ALL STAFF, INCLUDING OUR AUXILIARY SUPPORT STAFF, ETC., AND SO SOME OF THE BIG HIGHLIGHTS WITH GOAL ONE WERE MAKING SURE THAT YOU ALL KNOW A YEAR AGO, WE WERE WORKING WITH A FINITE GROUP OF CAMPUSES WHEN WE ROLLED OUT THE NORTH STAR GOAL AND LOOKING AT THE INDIVIDUAL GROWTH GOAL THAT HAS NOW GROWN TO EVERY CAMPUS, EVERY CAMPUS HAS BEEN TRAINED ON HOW WE ARE LOOKING TO SET STUDENT GROWTH GOALS TEACHER AND LEADER GROWTH GOALS, HOW THAT HOW THAT ALIGNS WITH THEIR TESTS AND T TESTS EVALUATIONS AND THEN AS YOU CAN SEE HERE THERE WERE OVER 900 SESSIONS THAT OUR STAFF, PRIMARILY HENRY AND HIS TEAM WITH INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY, AS WELL AS DR.

LEEPER AND TEACHING AND LEARNING. THEY SAT KNEE TO KNEE WITH TEACHERS ON LEARNING THE PLATFORM, UNDERSTANDING HOW WE WERE GOING TO WORK WITH STUDENTS TO SET THEIR GOALS AND TO LOOK AT SOME OF THE HIGHLIGHTS.

WE HAVE A PICTURE HERE OF SOME OF OUR I TEAM WORKING, LIKE, AS I SAID, KNEE TO KNEE WITH TEACHERS HELPING THEM UNDERSTAND SCHOOLOGY, THE LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM TOOLS THAT WE HAVE ADOPTED TO HELP TRACK AND MONITOR AND HAVE A WAREHOUSE OF THE WORK, IF YOU WILL, AND THEN THIS LAST MONTH, I TOOK A SCREENSHOT HERE.

THIS IS A SURVEY AND A GROWTH GOAL, PROGRESS THAT TEACHERS ARE FILLING OUT FOR STUDENTS TO UNDERSTAND.

SO WE HAVE SOME ANALYTICS AND SOME DATA TO BRING BACK TO YOU TO SHOW YOU QUANTITATIVELY HOW MANY STUDENTS, HOW MANY HAVE REACHED THEIR GROWTH GOAL, WHERE ARE THEY IN THE PROCESS? HOW CAN WE CONTINUE TO SHOW GROWTH AS ONE COMPONENT OF MULTIPLE OTHER TOOLS THAT WE USE, INCLUDING MAP.

SO LOOKING AT GOAL TWO AND GOAL TWO ALIGNS BACK INTO OUR RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION EFFORTS.

DR. GOODSON AND HIS TEAM REALLY FOCUSING ON HOW HOW ARE WE BUILDING A CULTURE THAT MAKES EMPLOYEES FEEL HEARD AND VALUED, AND HOW ARE WE PROMOTING THAT CULTURE TO SUPPORT OUR RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION EFFORTS? WE'RE VERY EXCITED ABOUT THE VIP EVENT THAT WE HOSTED EARLIER THIS SPRING.

THROUGH THE VARIOUS RECRUITMENT EFFORTS THAT HR AND SOME OF OUR LEADERSHIP TEAM ATTEND.

WE IDENTIFY WHAT WE CONSIDER THOSE VIP CANDIDATES THAT ALIGN WITH OUR TEACHER AND STAFF PROFILES, AND WE INVITE THEM IN A DAY EARLY BEFORE OUR TRADITIONAL JOB FAIR AND REALLY TREAT THEM TO A VIP BEHIND THE SCENES LOOK OF OUR ISD.

THEY GET TO MEET THEY MET WITH SUPERINTENDENT BRANUM, THE CABINET.

THEY GOT TOURS. THEY GOT TO SEE DIFFERENT CAMPUSES AND REALLY ENCOURAGE THEM AND SHOW THEM WHY RISD SHOULD BE THEIR CHOICE AS THEY ARE SHOPPING FOR THEIR DISTRICT HOMES.

WE ALSO ARE CELEBRATING THE WORK THAT DR. GOODSON AND HIS TEAM HAVE DONE.

THEY HAVE WORKED IN CREATING SOME INCREDIBLE PARTNERSHIPS WITH SOME OF THESE DIFFERENT HIGHER LEARNING INSTITUTIONS.

WE HAVE BEEN WORKING WITH DALLAS COLLEGE. WE CONTINUE TO WORK WITH DALLAS COLLEGE, ESPECIALLY TO GROW OUR OWN IN TERMS OF HAVING THOSE PIPELINES HAVING OPPORTUNITIES FOR SOME OF OUR PARAPROFESSIONALS WHO MAY HAVE OTHER TYPES OF CERTIFICATIONS AND DEGREES BUT MAY NOT BE CERTIFIED TO TEACH IN TEXAS, HOW CAN WE CREATE A PIPELINE FOR THEM TO COME AND TEACH IN OUR ISD? AS WELL AS PARTNERSHIPS WITH TEACH FOR AMERICA, UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS, ARLINGTON, SMU, AND THEN AGAIN, CONTINUING OUR FOCUSED, TARGETED RECRUITMENT EFFORTS.

FOR HIGH NEED AREAS, I CAN TELL YOU THAT WAS A LARGE FOCUS THIS LAST SPRING.

WE DID SOME VERY TARGETED SOCIAL MEDIA ADVERTISING, GOOGLE ADVERTISING TO REALLY TRY AND TARGET IN ON LIKE BILINGUAL AND SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHERS AND SUPPORT STAFF AND I KNOW HR WANTED TO SHARE SOME OF THESE PICTURES FROM SOME OF THE VARIOUS RECRUITMENT EVENTS, AND I WILL SAY YOU CAN SEE A COUPLE PHOTOS THERE.

WE THEY GOT TO SEE ONE OF THE REAL LEARNING SPACES, THE OMNI HOTEL LOUNGE OVER AT RICHARDSON HIGH SCHOOL FOR KIND OF LIKE AN AFTER HOURS SOCIAL EVENT THE NIGHT BEFORE OUR BIG JOB FAIR, AND I WILL TELL YOU, HOSTING THE JOB FAIR AT PEARCE WAS A PHENOMENAL SPACE TO HAVE THAT.

WE HAD A HUGE TURNOUT. IT WAS REAL EXCITING. THERE WAS A LOT OF ENERGY, AND I FEEL LIKE THAT WAS PROBABLY ONE OF OUR BETTER JOB FAIRS IN RECENT YEARS, AND A LOT OF THAT, TOO, WAS JUST THE WAY WE WERE ABLE TO UTILIZE THE PEARCE HUB SPACE AND THE NEW DESIGN OF THAT FOOTPRINT TO REALLY ACCOMMODATE AND CREATE A WELCOME WARMING SPACE FOR THESE PROSPECTIVE NEW RISD FAMILY. NOW LOOKING AT GOAL THREE, THAT'S FOCUSED ON ALL THINGS CURRICULUM AND LEARNING, AND DR. LEEPER AND HER TEAM CONTINUING TO WORK ON HOW ARE WE EMBEDDING THAT LEARNER FRAMEWORK INTO OUR CURRICULUM AS WELL AS OUR PROFESSIONAL LEARNING AS WELL AS THE GRADUATE PROFILE, AND YOU CAN SEE THAT ALL OF OUR CURRICULUM IN IMPLEMENTATION IS FOCUSED ON INDIVIDUAL STUDENT GROWTH, AND HOW ARE WE USING THAT LEARNER FRAMEWORK TO CREATE THOSE ENGAGING LEARNING EXPERIENCES FOCUSED ON GROWTH? I CAN TELL YOU A LOT OF WORK HAS HAPPENED, HAS HAPPENED AS WELL WITH OUR PROFESSIONAL LEARNING, CREATING SYSTEMS, COMMUNICATION TOOLS, INCLUDING A CATALOG AN ONLINE WEBSITE, AND JUST USER FRIENDLY SYSTEMS SO THAT OUR TEACHERS AND LEADERS CAN FIND THOSE GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES THAT ALIGN WITH THEIR GROWTH GOALS THAT WILL ULTIMATELY SUPPORT OUR GOALS FOR STUDENTS.

AGAIN, TRYING TO MAKE INFORMATION AND GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES EASILY ACCESSIBLE FOR ALL OF OUR STAFF.

GOAL FOUR IS ALL THINGS COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT, AND WE CONTINUE TO VALUE AND SEE THE OPPORTUNITIES THAT WE HAVE THIS YEAR.

THE FOCUS WAS REALLY ON HOW ARE WE ENGAGING SOME OF THOSE RESIDENTS THAT MAY NOT BE PARENTS OR EVEN HAVE STUDENTS IN OUR SYSTEM ANYMORE, REMEMBERING THAT A LARGE MAJORITY OF OUR. I BELIEVE IT'S ABOUT 65% OF THE POPULATION IN RICHARDSON IS OVER 65.

SO HOW ARE WE CONTINUING TO ENGAGE THEM? AND SO OUR PLATINUM CLUB, I CAN TELL YOU, WE'VE GROWN THAT THIS YEAR WE HAVE OVER 1300 THAT WE COMMUNICATE WITH REGULARLY, AND WE'VE REALLY GROWN FROM BEYOND JUST PICKING UP YOUR CARD AND GETTING INTO A GAME OR A FINE ARTS EVENT FOR FREE BUT WE'VE CREATED DISCOVERY DAYS, SO EACH QUARTER WE HOST EVENTS OUT ON CAMPUSES.

WE HOSTED ONE AT RICHARDSON HIGH SCHOOL EARLIER THIS YEAR.

WE HOSTED ONE AT BERKNER HIGH SCHOOL AND STEM ACADEMY TO SHOW THEM THE REAL LEARNING LEARNING SPACES AND WHAT SCHOOL LOOKS LIKE TODAY VERSUS MAYBE WHEN WE WERE IN SCHOOL, AND I SAY WE BECAUSE I'M A PROUD, CARING MEMBER OF THE PLATINUM CLUB.

THERE IS AN ENROLLMENT DECLINE REFLECTED IN THE BUDGET OF 430 STUDENTS FROM 36,971 IN 24-25, 36,541 NEXT YEAR, AND THAT IS BASED ON OUR--THE 36,541 IS BASED ON OUR DEMOGRAPHY REPORT.

5% PROPERTY VALUE GROWTH FOR 2526 3% PROPERTY GROWTH FOR YEARS THEREAFTER.

SO AGAIN, I'LL GET OFF MY MY COMMENTARY, BUT AGAIN, JUST TRY TO PUT IT THE IMPORTANCE THAT THEY DELIVER SOMETHING BECAUSE IT'S GETTING HARDER AND HARDER AND HARDER FOR US TO CONTINUE TO RECOGNIZE THE GOOD WORK THAT THE TEACHERS AND THE WHOLE COMMUNITY IS DOING HERE AND I APPRECIATE THAT INPUT, AND JUST FOR THOSE THAT WEREN'T AWARE, AND I KNOW SOME OF THE COMMUNITY, WE DON'T HAVE THIS THIS ISN'T ALL YOU KNOW, WE DON'T ANNOUNCE ALL THE ALL THE EFFORTS THAT WE'VE GOT, BUT WE WERE DOWN IN AUSTIN LAST FRIDAY ADVOCATING WE MET WITH THE POLICY STAFF OR ELECTED MEMBERS OF, I BELIEVE, THREE SENATORS AND FOUR HOUSE MEMBERS, AND A QUICK DAY TRIP DOWN THERE AGAIN, JUST TO REINFORCE OUR LEGISLATIVE PRIORITIES, KNOWING WHAT WE KNOW NOW COMPARED TO WHAT WE KNEW AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SESSION, AND SO WE'RE CONTINUING THAT WORK, BUT IT WAS A CRITICAL PIECE THAT WE FELT LIKE WE NEEDED FACE TIME, AND THAT MEANS WE'VE GOT TO GO TO THEM.
